Tours in the Age of Social Distancing

Six Foot Bubble™ Tours gain public momentum

August 3, 2020 Mobile Entertainment’s new tour series, Six Foot Bubble™, has been heating up recently with a few big media hits from outlets such as KARE 11, the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and the Mill City Times, calling attention to the engaging and historical guided walking tours of Minneapolis and Saint Paul that Mobile Entertainment is now offering to the public.

Reporter Lee Valsvik with KARE 11 TV walked the St. Paul Irvine Park tour on live television last Saturday, August 1, with tour guide Andy Stec and a couple tourists who wanted to learn something new about the city they were born in— and they were not let down! Tourists commented on-air that they experienced an era of Saint Paul that they had not yet learned about, and sites in a historical area that went “right under our noses.”

To ensure safety, professional narration was delivered via a small speaker in a sanitized bag or disposable ear buds.

Participants enjoyed learning about the Irvine Park neighborhood from an expert, the architectural historian Larry Millet. In addition to learning from Millet, participants took advantage of tour guide Andy Stec’s knowledge and charisma to build a strong rapport and get the most out of their Six Foot Bubble™ experience.

KARE’s live tour segment exhibited significant locations such as the beautiful fountain in Irvine Park, the Alexander Ramsey House, Forepaugh’s Restaurant, and the first houses in the Twin Cities built in the 1800s.

“We wanted KARE 11 to tour with us because we wanted their audience to see what we offer through the reporter’s eyes, and show that through social distancing, we offer the best way to tour and learn about the city,” said Mobile Entertainment Owner and Founder Bill Neuenschwander. “To be able to learn from experts, like Larry Millet or Dave Wiggins, and have their perspective delivered directly to you through proprietary, patent-pending audio equipment is really a unique and striking experience.”

The segment ended with an option to take a Six Foot Bubble™ Tour— a safe and separated outing with your family or group in the most iconic and historic places in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

With a successful launch of the St. Paul Irvine Park tour, we are expecting that the Minneapolis Walker Sculpture Garden tour—set to launch the week of August 10, 2020— will be nothing short of spectacular. Click here to see what other tours we will be offering throughout the rest of the year.
