DESCRIPTION
The Cathedral Hill and Summit Avenue Tour begins in Summit Overlook Park, which overlooks the scenic Upper Mississippi River Gorge. Starting with a history of the city, you will stroll past some of most beautiful and stately mansions found in Minnesota. Our walk will take us to the historic James J. Hill House, the Cathedral of St. Paul, and into the notorious “gangster hang-outs” of the early 20th century. From cathedrals to gangsters – what a city! Our 1.5 mile walk ends where we started, but only after visiting a few of the haunts of the world renowned 20th century author F. Scott Fitzgerald. Welcome to Saint Paul – a river city like no other!
